MadCATR Trail in Richmond, Kentucky Selected as Shimano Trail Born Grant Recipient

Richmond, KY – KYMBA Bluegrass, the Madison County Mad Hatters mountain bike team, and the City of Richmond are proud to announce that the MadCATR Trail project has been selected for a $70,000 Trail Born grant from Shimano. The funding will support the construction of Richmond’s first-ever purpose-built mountain bike trails at the new sports complex near the interstate.
MadCATR Trail is designed to deliver up to 6.7 miles of modern, sustainable singletrack. The project will create a race-ready venue for NICA and grassroots racing while providing progression-oriented riding opportunities for local riders, youth teams, and visiting families.
