Senator McConnell Lands Almost $1 Billion for Richmond-Area Defense Priorities

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced that he has secured nearly $1 billion in funding for the Blue Grass Army Depot in Madison County, KY. As Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, McConnell was the key driver in this funding coming to Madison County.
This funding will further solidify the Blue Grass Army Depot as a vital piece in the national defense, while also creating and retaining jobs and economic activity within the greater Richmond area, with Senator McConnell was reported stating, “This investment ensures BGAD remains a national asset while delivering real economic benefits to Madison County and the families who depend on these good-paying jobs.”
