Developed with Golden Shovel Agency, the new site will enhance marketing efforts and support the city as it pursues funding opportunities

Richmond, KY – The Richmond Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), the City of Richmond’s dedicated arm for industrial and business growth, has announced the creation of a new website designed to showcase business and industrial growth opportunities in the city. Created in collaboration with Golden Shovel Agency, the leading marketing and communications partner dedicated exclusively to economic development, the new site will enhance the organization’s marketing efforts as well as supporting efforts to win state and federal funding opportunities.

The new site was built from the ground up to give RIDC an identity separate from the city’s other government activities and is designed to create a cohesive brand for Richmond’s economic and industrial development efforts.

“Having a separate website for economic and industrial development provides direct access for new businesses to see Richmond’s build-ready sites along with all utility and demographic information,” said Rob Minerich, Richmond City Manager. “It’s a clean and clear connection highlighting the golden corridor of Duncannon Lane, which connects to I-75 with a four-lane highway. We’ve created a business-friendly environment that is future focused, and this website is a one-stop shop for new businesses and large industry.”

The new website features information about living and doing business in Richmond as well as a catalog of available buildings and development sites. It also has information about available workforce to help businesses considering expanding or relocating to Richmond understand the employees available to them in the city.

“The City of Richmond is ready to up our game in showcasing the strong opportunities we have for business and industry,” said Robert R. Blythe, Richmond Mayor. “Due to the continued and consistent growth of the city, we recognized a strong website with a single focus was needed to add to our arsenal of communication.”
